Dark Planes

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Los-3-Dinners/127104693973623

experiment on distortion-drenched songs bubbling with a heated desire to keep it raw and stripped. Hard, nervous chord walls smash into a soul dance beat screaming with L.A. sleaze, N.Y. punk, modern Delta blues and Lone Star-style pub rock. Bouts of improvised electronic noise intersect lanes of lust-filled tunes drawing from a post-punk era both new and used.

Hickoids

www.hickoids.com

More than two decades after shattering and then returning to active duty nearly 15 years later, The Hickoids are now an institution, cult legends in fact: Cheeky Dadaist punk-country pioneers who command respect for not just what they forged in the past but even being alive now and able to make music at all, much less now their best work yet.

Mike Ryan Coyotes

http://www.mikeryancoyotes.com/

Mike grew up in a musical household; his mother played piano and his older brother had a vast record collection. He listened to blues, rock, jazz, classical music, gospel, country, Irish ballads—any and every kind of music he could lay hands on.

Wolverton

http://www.wolvertonmusic.com/

Seeds planted long ago, but a new wheel seems to be turning. You can almost say the band was an accident and for that reason was the only thing that could have happened, though in many ways Wolverton was already forming via friendships by the time of their first gig in an over-sized bathroom on the top floor of a hotel in downtown San Antonio, March 2011.

"If that's a bass guitar, I've never seen one like it? It's shaped like an acoustic and it's definately a box-type guitar. If that's not Charlie, then he has a twin. Same cap, same glasses and same beard." -Austin Glen

Julie Good and a Dog Named Mike

www.juliegood.com

Her works sometimes radiate a cold and latent violence. At times, disconcerting beauty emerges. The inherent visual seductiveness, along with the conciseness of the exhibitions, further complicates the reception of their manifold layers of meaning.

Born out of the punk scene of San Antonio, Anthony Garcia has reemerged from his musical hiatus to lead La Chichada into the limelight. Dark, dramatic themes with heavy lyrics, electrified saxophone are served up with charismatic performances and well crafted songs.
